News   "Intimate Nights" Seminar Discusses Past and Future of Cabaret Feb. 27
"Intimate Nights: The Golden Age of Cabaret" is the title of the Feb. 27 seminar about the history and future of the New York cabaret scene.

Subtitled "Where We've Been, Where We Are, Where We're Headed," the discussion will be held at the Broadway Comedy Club. The 6-8 PM seminar will be moderated by MAC Award winner Richard Skipper, and the panel will comprise authors James Gavin and Deborah Grace Winer, performance educator Linda Amiel Burns, actress-producer-talk-show host Jamie deRoy and booking manager and performer Sidney Myer. The title of the evening takes its name from Gavin's book "Intimate Nights: The Golden Age of New York Cabaret," which was originally published in 1992. Gavin will be on hand to autograph copies of the book following the seminar.

The Broadway Comedy Club is located in Manhattan at 318 West 53rd Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. Admission for MAC members is free; there is a $10 charge for non-members. For reservations call (845) 365-0720.
