Several of the cast members of the Tony-winning revival of Into the Woods are heading to the Sh-K-Boom Room for an evening of pop and rock tunes. On, Thursday, Aug. 15, Laura Benanti, Tracy Nicole Chapman, Melissa Dye, Trent Kendall, Chad Kimball, Michael Leonhart and Amanda Naughton will leave their fairy-tale characters behind and offer original songs that run the gamut from folk to rock. Also taking part in the evening are Vykky Cave, Rosa Curry and Andre Garner, and the band for the songfest comprises Ted Baker, Tony Aliperti, Mark Vanderpoel and Tommy Aigoe.

Into the Woods, this year's Tony winner for Best Revival of a Musical, stars Vanessa Williams and John McMartin, who were both nominated for 2002 Tony Awards. Laura Benanti, who will be among the performers at the Sh-K-Boom Room, was also nominated for a Tony Award for her performance as Cinderella. The Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical plays the Broadhurst Theatre; tickets are available by calling Telecharge at (212) 239 6200.
