News Inverse Presents Annual New Year's Attraction, Revival, Dec. 27-Jan. 4 Off-Broadway's Inverse Theatre, as usual brimming with holiday spirit, will present a spate of performances of its annual New Year's offering, resident playwright Kirk Wood Bromley's Midnight Brainwash Revival.

Performances are Dec. 27-31 and Jan. 2-4, 2003. The shows will take place at 8 PM at the Theatorium, 198 Stanton Street, on the Lower East Side.

Revival was first presented by Inverse in late 1999. Matthew Maher starred. The story takes place in the Utah town of Moab, and incorporates a variety of millennial and end-of-the-world themes. Populating the city, which is on the verge of being turned into a toxic waste dump, are fanatics waiting for the messiah, prophets, cultists and a secret society of truckers. Revival was subsequently published in the anthology, "Plays and Playwrights for the New Millennium" (New York Theatre Experience).

In a press statement, the company calls the show "their version of 'It's a Wonderful Life.'" Joshua Spafford directs.

The cast includes Gyda Arber, Jesse Barton, Alan Benditt, Jason Craig, Megan Dullaghan, Stephanie Dodd, Barbara King, Bob Laine, Brian Linden, David Lepeska, Hemky Madera, Catherine McNelis, Jessica Myhr, Timothy Reynolds, Kate Rose, Abby Royles, Ryan Shogren, Joshua Spafford, Hank Wagner.

Tickets are $15. Call (212) 501-4528 for tickets and reservations.
