News   Iraq War-Inspired Game Over to Premiere in California; Casting Announced
Josh Levine's Game Over, a look at Iraq War veterans struggling to return to civilian life, will premiere June 4 at the Lyric Hyperion Theatre & Café in Silverlake, CA.

Corby Sullivan will direct the play, which will run through July 18. Produced by From the Ground Up Theatre Co, the play will feature a cast including Aaron Misakian, Brett Davidson and Jennifer Cetrone.

According to press notes, "For Marcus, Jimmy, and Carla, the game in Iraq is over. Minefields and M-16's have been replaced with Applebees and video games. But, for three friends, the road back to 'normal' is just as explosive and unpredictable as the war itself. Their new mission has just begun…"

Levine is currently an MFA playwriting student at Rutgers University, where he is studying under Lee Blessing (Two Rooms, A Walk in the Woods, Thief River), who guided the development of this project.

Levine's other plays include Lost Persons, A Merry Jewish Christmas and Starry Night.

Game Over will run Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 PM and Sundays at 7 PM. The Lyric Hyperion Theatre & Cafe
is located at 2106 Hyperion Avenue
in Silverlake. Tickets are $15 if purchased before May 15, $19 if purchased in advance after May 15 and $25 at the door. Visit or call (800) 838-3006.
