Taking a cue from Cirque du Soleil, Irish Repertory is hosting a one-night only "Celtic circus" Circasia! at the John Golden Theatre June 4. Stones in His Pockets' Tony-nominated stars Sean Campion and Conleth Hill and Madame Melville's Macauly Culkin headline the evening. The Rep's Charlotte Moore directs the circus, which will feature clowns, comics, singers, jugglers, poets, musicians, fire-eaters and contortionist in a theatrical presentation of an authentic Celtic circus. Among the performers will be Celeste Holm, folk singer Tommy Makem, best-selling authors Frank and Malachy McCourt, Kitty Sullivan and Eric Stoltz, as well as Irish Rep stalwarts Ciaran O'Reilly, Milo O'Shea and Ciaran Sheehan. Shirley Jones will host the evening.
Following the performance, a gala supper will be held at Sardi's. Tickets are $100 and up. For reservations, call (212) 727-2737.
