News Irish Rep Hungry for Farmer Once More, Aug. 5-Sept. 14 The Love-Hungry Farmer, a success for Irish Repertory Theatre in 2002, will return to the Off-Broadway theatre from Aug. 7 to Sept. 14. Des Keogh again stars in the play he adapted from the John B. Keane work Letters of a Love-Hungry Farmer.

Charlotte Moore directs the piece, which previously played Irish Rep's W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre. This time around, it will play the Mainstage. Official opening is Aug. 7. Keogh plays farmer John Bosco McLane, a man who has never been with a woman and is desperately seeking companionship. Keane died in June 2002.
