News Irish Rep Opens 2004-05 Season with Triptych, Starring Margaret Colin and Ally Sheedy Three women — a wife, a mistress and a daughter — expose their passions for the same man in Triptych, the season opener of Off-Broadway's Irish Repertory Theatre Sept. 28-Nov. 14.

Margaret Colin plays the wife, Ally Sheedy the mistress and Carrie Specksgoor the daughter in the play by Edna O'Brien, directed by David Jones. According to production notes, "In doing so each [woman] confronts the ways that love simultaneously entraps and liberates. This captivating drama weaves three stories together to construct the portrait of a man through their eyes."

The play by the renowned novelist and playwright O'Brien "explores sex, marriage, and predatory relationships with searing acuity." Opening is Oct. 7.
