News Irish Rep's Christmas in Wales Begins Previews Dec. 3 The Irish Repertory Theatre's production of Dylan Thomas' A Child's Christmas in Wales begins performances Dec. 3 in Manhattan.

The "night of magical Christmas memories," which is directed by Charlotte Moore, will officially open at the company's West Side home Dec. 7. The production will run through Jan. 4, 2009.

The cast is led by Victoria Mallory with Edwin Cahill, Kerry Conte, Jon Fletcher and Ashley Robinson. Mark Hartman is the musical director for the production, which features traditional and original music.

A Child's Christmas in Wales, according to press notes, explores "Dylan Thomas's magical memories of his Welsh childhood from his early morning waking to his final sleep."

The creative team includes costume designer David Toser, lighting designer Michael Gottlieb, production stage manager Sarah Tschirpke and stage manager Aaron Pratt.

Show times are Wednesday-Saturday at 8 PM with matinees Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 3 PM. The Irish Repertory Theatre is located in Manhattan at 132 West 22nd Street. Tickets, priced $20, $55 and $60, are available by calling (212) 727-2737.
