London's Daily Mail reports that the English National Opera production would see Chenoweth take on the role of Cunegonde opposite British tenor Toby Spence in the title role. The 13 performances would run from June 23, 2008.

Chenoweth won a Tony for her performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown and created the role of Glinda in Wicked. She last performed in London in 2002 in the Divas at the Donmar season.

Chenoweth has already sung the role of Cunegonde in a concert version of Bernstein's work at New York's Lincoln Center in 2005.

Director Robert Carson and choreographer Rob Ashford, who recently made his directorial debut with the Donmar production of Parade, have also been linked with the possible ENO production.
