News Is This a Burger I See Before Me? Fast-Food Bard Adaptation McBeth Plays Fringe, Aug. 13-23 William Shakespeare's infamous Scottish tragedy gets a taste of an American eatery as the world premiere of McBeth — Over 2 Million Slain plays at this year's New York International Fringe Festival, Aug. 13-23.

McBeth transforms the Bard's tale into a timely satire about the fast food industry. Macbeth, Macduff and Banquo become migrant farm workers emerged in a bitter battle with corporate America. Kevin Shinick — known to television audiences as the host of "Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego?" — adapts and directs the new work. The actor also heads a cast that includes Jennifer Carta, David Hutson, Ron McClary, Sonya Rokes and Michael Suvorov.

Ideal Theatricals presents the work by Shinick. The company teamed up with the director-adapter on the stagework Spider-Man Live!
