News Israeli Sketch Comedy Odd Birdz Has Audiences Chirping Off-Broadway Israel's Tziporela Theatre Company has brought its unique sketch comedy show Odd Birdz to Off-Broadway's Players Theatre. The show, which has toured internationally before arriving in New York, incorporates music, physical movement, satire and standup.

Performances began July 16 and run through Sept. 16.

Tziporela, founded a decade ago by nine graduates from the celebrated Israeli acting studio Nissan Nativ, began developing Odd Birdz three years ago. The laugh-out-loud show playfully examines modern-day relationships, culture, politics and the oddities of every day life.

The cast features Dana Igvy, Lotus Etrog, Tamara Klingon, Naama Amit, Efrat Aviv, Gal Fridman, Omri Doron, Ben Perry, Danny Isserless and Tomer Nahir Petluk. 

The Players Theater is located at 115 Macdougal St., Greenwich Village.
