Many of the stories collected through the It Gets Better Project, which was started by columnist Dan Savage in September 2010 in response to the many gay teen suicides brought on by excessive bullying, will be published in book form March 22.

The book will feature written contributions from Broadway performers, including Kyle Dean Massey, Kevin Samual Yee and the official It Gets Better Broadway group. President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, designer and "Project Runway" star Tim Gunn and "Wicked" author Gregory Maguire will also be featured. The It Gets Better Project began as a series of YouTube videos in which personal stories were shared as a way to support LGBT youth. Contributors so far include President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Adam Lambert, Anne Hathaway, Colin Farrell, Matthew Morrison of "Glee," Joe Jonas, Joel Madden, Ke$ha, Sarah Silverman, Tim Gunn, Ellen DeGeneres, Suze Orman, the staffs of The Gap, Google, Facebook, Pixar, the Broadway community and more. According to the project, "For us, every video changes a life. It doesn’t matter who makes it."
