Sightseeing, the world premiere of Margaret Dulaney's new play, opens at the Jose Quintero Theatre Nov. 21. The comedy began performances Nov. 15 for a run through Jan. 7. Set in our own celeb-obsessed times, Sightseeing finds popular TV star Myra - more known for being known than known for being talented - on the run from Hollywood. While she travels in secret, Myra meets nondescript office worker Lilith, depressed and nearly invisible Howard, and celebrity press agent Will, tortured by his past shameless pursuit of newsprint. Sightseeing won the 1999 Berrilla Kerr Award. Past winners of this citation for contemporary American theatre have included Eve Ensler, OyamO, Mary Gallagher and Y York.

Julie Boyd, fresh from performing in The Man Who Came to Dinner, directs. Her company features Reed Birney (The Butterfly Collection), Tony Carlin (the Werner Heisenberg understudy at Copenhagen), Chris Cavelli, Susan Knight and Susan Pellegrino.

Tickets are $35. The Jose Quintero Theatre is located at 534 West 42nd Street. For reservations, call (212) 244-7529.
