Created by Cory Kahaney and featuring direction by Dan Fields, The J.A.P. show co-stars writer Kahaney, former Hairspray and upcoming Xanadu star Jackie Hoffman, Cathy Ladman and Jessica Kirson. The official opening night is set for April 18. In The J.A.P. Show, according to press notes, "four brassy and ballsy female comics . . . give nachus to their female predecessors. They amply demonstrate, through their own zany stories and stand-up, how the Jewish female comics of yore are treasured pioneers without whom they would not exist. With jokes both old and new about sex, husbands, family and weight issues, these lewd and lascivious ladies prove that the stuff cracking-up Bubby and Zayde in the schtetl is still pretty darn funny. The live performance, which is peppered with vintage footage of the original queens of comedy, enables these proud princesses to share the stage with their royal forebears."

The design team includes Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Jo Winiarski (scenic design) and Aaron Rhyne (projection design).

Jackie Hoffman received a Theatre World Award for her work in Hairspray. Her other theatrical credits include The Sisters Rosensweig, Regrets Only, Book of Liz (Obie Award), Straightjacket, Incident at Cobbler's Knob and One Woman Shoe (Jeff Award). Hoffman has been seen on screen in "Legally Blonde II," "Kissing Jessica Stein," "Garden State," "Mo' Money" and "Freaky Friday." Hoffman will co-star in the upcoming Broadway musical Xanadu.

Show times are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8 PM, Wednesdays at 3 and 8 PM and Sundays at 5 PM.

The Actors Temple Theatre is located at 339 West 47th Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. Tickets, priced $49.50-$65, can be purchased by calling (212) 239-6200 or by visiting www.telecharge.com.
