Time Out NY Lounge presents Hoffman's biting take on the Dickens' tale, which is billed as a "pseudo-autobiographical, one-woman show inspired by Patrick Stewart’s A Christmas Carol."

A Chanukah Charol will be directed by Michael Schiralli. Hoffman and Schiralli previously collaborated on Jackie Hoffman: Live from Joe's Pub, Scraping the Bottom for Chanukah and Jackie Five-Oh!

Performances will take place Dec. 11, 18, 2011, and Jan, 2, 2012, at 7:30 PM.

In A Chanukah Charol, Hoffman "is forced to examine her life when she is visited by the Ghosts of Chanukah Past, Present and Future, and even Molly Picon! What she finds on her quest for fame is that she is a dark desperate diva who would give Scrooge a run for his money."

Hoffman currently stars as Grandma in the Broadway musical The Addams Family. She received a Theatre World Award for her work in Hairspray. Her other theatrical credits include Xanadu, The Sisters Rosensweig, Regrets Only, Book of Liz (Obie Award), Straightjacket, Incident at Cobbler's Knob and One Woman Shoe (Jeff Award). Hoffman has been seen on screen in "Legally Blonde II," "Kissing Jessica Stein," "Garden State," "Mo' Money" and "Freaky Friday." Her show Jackie Hoffman: Live from Joe's Pub is available on disc.

Tickets range $35-$55 (premium with a free drink). To purchase tickets visit Telecharge or phone (212) 239-6200. New World Stages is located at 340 West 50th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues.
