News Jackie Mason to Bring Laughing Room Only to Brooks Atkinson Theatre Comedian Jackie Mason is set to return to Broadway in the fall.

Mason, who received a 2003 Special Theatrical Event Tony Award nomination for Prune Danish, will bring his latest show — Laughing Room Only — to the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The Ticketmaster website says that performances will begin Oct. 23 at the theatre, which housed this season's recently closed The Look of Love. Mason will offer a pre-Broadway engagement of Laughing Room Only at the Helen Hayes Theatre Company in Nyack, NJ. The Hayes run is scheduled for Sept. 19-Oct. 5. A recent press release said the show has "beautiful women, great music, [and] Jackie's trademark razor-sharp humor." Robert Johanson, the former artistic director of New Jersey's Paper Mill, will direct.

The veteran entertainer received a 1987 Special Tony Award for his show The World According to Me.
