News   Jacob Brent and Ken Page Will Star in Gateway Playhouse's Cats
Jacob Brent, who starred as Mr. Mistoffelees in Broadway's Cats, will direct, choreograph and star in Gateway Playhouse's production of that Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, which will begin May 16 in Bellport.

The musical, which will play a limited engagement through June 2, will also star Ken Page (It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues, Ain't Misbehavin', Cats, Guys and Dolls, The Wiz), who originated the role of Old Deuteronomy on Broadway. Here's how Gateway bills the musical: "Based on the poetry of T.S. Elliot, Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit transports audiences into the fantastic, spellbinding realm of the Jellical Cats. Set on the evening of the Jellical Ball, the Jellicals compete for rebirth into a better life by showcasing their talents and good deeds. Webber's magical score includes legendary favorites including 'Jellical Songs for Jellical Cats,' 'Mr. Mistoffelees' and the haunting 'Memory.'"

Gateway Playhouse is located at 215 South Country Road in Bellport, NY. For more information and tickets, visit gatewayplayhouse.com.
