International News Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford to Star in London Sunday in the Park With George The two will reprise their performances in the U.K. after headlining the musical at New York City Center and on Broadway.

The recent Broadway revival of Sunday in the Park With George will play a limited engagement in the West End at London’s Savoy Theatre. Performances will begin June 11, 2020; tickets are currently on sale through September 5.

Reprising their performances as George and Dot, respectively, are Jake Gyllenhaal (soon to return to Broadway in the transfer of Sea Wall/A Life) and Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford. The two first took on the roles in the Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine musical for a New York City Center gala, later sharing the stage again in a 2017 Broadway revival that reopened the Hudson Theatre.

Additional casting for the London production, directed by Sarna Lapine (niece of James Lapine), will be announced at a later date.

The musical first played London in 1990 at the National Theatre. A 2005 revival at the Menier Chocolate Factory went on to play the West End before transferring to Broadway via Roundabout Theatre Company.
