News James and Anderson to Join Denman for Jazz Turns Jeffry Denman, whose Broadway credits include The Producers and Cats, will debut his new cabaret act, Jazz Turns, at Birdland.

The Feb. 19 performance will include a mix of contemporary and classic theatre songs with a jazzy spin. Cabaretgoers can expect to hear such tunes as "Nothing Is Too Wonderful to Be True," "Not While I'm Around," "Moving Too Fast," "My Own Space," "Tonight at Eight" and "Life of the Party." Show time is 7 PM. Denman will be backed by Joshua Pearl and his Classic Jazz Trio. Special guests for the evening of song and dance will include The Apple Tree's Brian d'Arcy James and Dennis Stowe as well as Drama Desk winner Nancy Anderson.

In addition to The Producers and Cats, Jeffry Denman has also appeared on Broadway in Dream and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He is the author of "A Year with The Producers: One Actor's Exhausting But Worth It Journey from Cats to Mel Brooks' Mega Hit." He was also the author and star of Change Partners: A Fred Astaire Tale and recently appeared in White Christmas at the Ordway Theatre in St. Paul.
