James Corden Gives Aladdin a Crosswalk the Musical Makeover | Playbill

Video James Corden Gives Aladdin a Crosswalk the Musical Makeover The Late Late Show host enlisted Will Smith, Naomi Scott, and Mena Massoud from the live-action remake to create a Broadway-style event in the middle of the street.

James Corden of The Late Late Show unveiled the newest edition of his Crosswalk the Musical series, this time featuring the new stars of Aladdin.

The video starts off with the Tony-winning host dressed as the Genie, aiming to take on the role—until Smith shows up to claim his part, leading to Corden dressed as the sidekick Abu.

Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud also take on their respective roles, Princess Jasmine and Aladdin.

The quartet, backed by an ensemble, take on the classic numbers “Friend Like Me,” “Prince Ali,” and “A Whole New World,” complete with a flying carpet (of sorts).

The Crosswalk the Musical series has previously seen Corden bringing Allison Janey to perform The Sound of Music and Andrew Lloyd Webber revisiting some of his classics.
