News James Corden Lands Film Role The Tony-winning actor will be seen in the spinoff of Ocean’s Eleven.

James Corden, the host of The Late Late Show who won a Tony Award for his performance in One Man, Two Guvnors, has landed a supporting role in Ocean's Eight, a spinoff of Ocean's Eleven, according to Deadline.com.

Directed by Gary Ross, the Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures film is scheduled for release June 8, 2018.

The cast will be headed by Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, and Helena Bonham Carter.

“As the group plans and executes a heist in New York,” the industry website reports, “Corden will play an insurance investigator who grows suspicious of them.”

Corden, also seen on Broadway in The History Boys, played The Baker in the film version of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods.
