The cast features Tony nominees Tony Sheldon (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) and John Tartaglia (Avenue Q, Shrek).
Based on an real-life event that happened between the playwright and his elderly voice teacher, Art and Science is described as such: "Adam (Tartaglia) visits his former elderly voice teacher, Robert (Sheldon), to discover he's had a stroke and is partially paralyzed. Adam immediately goes to dial 911 but Robert makes him hang up and refuses to go to the hospital and seek medical attention. Why? Because he's a Christian Scientist. Reluctantly, Adam feels he has no choice but to stay and try to help Robert who is feeling more and more effects from the stroke. As the play unfolds, they both learn about and address their long-held resentments towards each other and struggle to find acceptance."
The play is one of four playing the Bridge Theater (244 W. 54th St., 12th floor) as part of Seth Rudetsky and Wesley's Midtown March Medley.
