News "Jamsey Boy" Film, With Mary-Louise Parker, Sets 2014 VOD and Theatrical Release Tony Award winner Mary-Louise Parker, who appeared on Broadway in the premiere of Sharr White's The Snow Geese earlier this fall, will appear in the new film "Jamesy Boy," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Based on the true story of James Burns, the film tells the story of a teenager involved in a street gang, who finds himself in a maximum security prison, where he befriends and finds a mentor in a convicted murderer.

Parker portrays the mother of the troubled teen played by Spencer Lofranco. Also featured are James Woods, Taissa Farmiga and Taboo of Black Eyed Peas.

"Jamsey Boy," which marks the feature debut of writer-director Trevor White, will be released on video on demand Jan. 3, 2014, followed by an in-theatre release Jan. 17.
