News Jana Robbins Joins "Carol Channing" for Nov. 4 Duplex Benefit Jana Robbins and famed illusionist Richard Skipper — in the guise of Carol Channing — will team up for a Nov. 4 benefit at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

Featuring musical direction by Doyle Newmyer, the evening of song and comedy will benefit The National Parkinsons Foundation. This marks the first time Robbins and Skipper have performed together. Jana Robbins made her Broadway debut in the 1975 revival of the musical comedy Good News. She stoodby for Alison Fraser in the four person musical Romance, Romance and received much acclaim as Tyne Daly's standby in the award-winning revival of Gypsy. She also appeared in the Broadway and national touring productions of Charles Busch's The Tale of the Allergist's Wife. Her recent Cy Coleman tribute was titled One Hell of a Ride!.

Richard Skipper is a two-time winner of the MAC Award and the Backstage Bistro Award for Outstanding Achievement in Impersonation. He has performed his impersonations around the world to great acclaim.

The Duplex is located in Manhattan at 61 Christopher Street. Tickets are priced at $20 plus a two-drink minimum. Reservations may be made by calling (212) 255-5438.
