PlayBlog Jane Lynch Takes "Glee" Theme Song Matters Into Her Own Hands on "SNL" (Video) "Glee" Emmy winner and stage vet Jane Lynch hosted the Oct. 9 episode of "Saturday Night Live" and, for her opening monologue, revealed that she had written the theme song to her own series when she discovered it didn't have one. Naturally, her theme song is focused on her character on the show, self-centered and malicious cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester.

Lynch, a Second City alum who recently appeared Off-Broadway in Love, Loss and What I Wore, was accompanied in her debut performance of the theme song by "SNL" cast member Fred Armisen on guitar.
