Songs by Harold Arlen and Yip Harburg, Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, Howard Dietz and Arthur Schwartz and more punctuate the 12-track disc.
"Home" is Monheit's tenth CD and will be accompanied by a world tour beginning in the fall.
Accompanying Monheit on "Home" are long-time Monheit band-members Michael Kanan (piano), Neal Miner on bass and Rick Montalbano on drums, who were joined on the CD by guest artists John Pizzarelli (vocals and guitar), Peter Eldridge (vocals), Frank Vignola (guitar), Joe Magnarelli (trumpet and flugelhorn), Mark O'Connor (violin) and Larry Goldings (piano).
"I wanted to return 'Home' to doing what I love best," Monheit said in a statement. "Getting back to my roots. For me, there's nothing like singing a jazz standard and giving it new life through one's own interpretation; bringing it to a new audience in a whole new and different light."

Monheit released her debut album, "Never Never Land," in 2000 which remained on the Billboard Jazz chart for over a year and was voted Best Debut Recording by the members of the Jazz Journalists Association. Her second release, "Come Dream With Me," came next and landed atop the Billboard Jazz charts, while "In the Sun" (2003) earned a Grammy nomination for Vince Mendoza for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocals. Her 2007 CD, "Surrender," debuted at number one on the Billboard Jazz chart. Her most recent CD is "The Lovers, The Dreamers And Me."
