News Jaradoa Will Bounce Sept. 4 Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman may have abandoned the title, but Jaradoa Theater — the new theatre company with the mission to "promote mercy, beauty and truth through performance and service" — will present a Bounce Sept. 4 at FR.OG in Manhattan.

The Jaradoa Bounce is the company's annual dance party to help raise fund's for the organization's various outreach programs. The evening, which begins at 9 PM, will also include raffle prizes and goody bags.

Members of Jaradoa encourage those interested in bouncing to "stretch first. The taking of vitamins and consumption of electrolytes is also recommended."

FR.OG is located in Manhattan at 71 Spring Street at Lafayette. Tickets, priced $25, will be available at the door.

Jaradoa (Just A Roomful of Artists Doing Outreach And) Theater is a company of professional theatre artists, who are equally devoted to productions and to performance-based outreach. "They do theater that promotes mercy, beauty and truth in an environment where artists thrive, and use storytelling to address brokenness in their community."

Jaradoa's next theatrical venture will be Shafrika, The White Girl, which was penned by recent Xanadu star Anika Larsen. April Nickell, who co-conceived Shafrika, will direct the Nov. 8-23 run. Theatre and casting have not been announced.
