Jarrow, known for Off-Broadways A Very Merry Unauthorized Children's Scientology Pageant, has collaborated with Nathan Leigh on the new musical, which features a synth-pop score.
A cast of actors from Yale, Julliard and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts has been assembled for the 7:30 PM presentations.
Shira Milikowsky (The Wikipedia Plays) directs the work that "tells the story of three game show contestants battling it out for a fifty thousand dollar prize that they all desperately need. But one of them has a secret: after studying the game for years, he's discovered the key to winning it. Based loosely on the true story of Michael Larson, the man who broke the bank on the game show 'Press Your Luck,' it's a funny, freewheeling rock musical about big dreams, big money, and big hair," according to press notes.
For the stage, Jarrow also penned the Obie-winning A Very Merry Unauthorized Children's Scientology Pageant, Hostage Song, Gorilla Man, Armless, Trigger, Rip Me Open and Love Kills, which was featured in the 2007 New York Musical Theatre Festival.
