David Crane (Epic Proportions, "Friends") and partner Jeffrey Klarik ("Mad About You") created the show produced by Warner Bros. TV. In "The Class," a 27-year-old Ethan (Ritter) throws a party for his girlfriend, whom he met in third grade and invites six other former classmates with whom they've lost contact with. The evening serves as a catalyst for how their lives continue to intersect.
Ritter was seen recently Off-Broadway in Wendy Wasserstein's Third. The son of late actor John Ritter was also seen in the feature film "Happy Endings" as well as on television in "Joan of Arcadia."
He will be joined in the cast by The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee star Ferguson and Lucy Punch ("Ella Enchanted," "Being Julia"). Ferguson has also appeared on stage in On The Town, On The Twentieth Century, Where Do We Live?, Little Fish and Newyorkers.
Crane also contributed material to Off-Broadway's A...My Name Is Alice as well as lyrics for the musical Personals. He also co-created "Dream On" with "Friends" collaborator Marta Kauffman and served as executive producer on "Veronica's Closet" and "Jesse."
