News Jason Robert Brown and Anika Noni Rose to Unite for NYC Concerts; PBS Will Broadcast Tony Award winning composer-lyricist Jason Robert Brown and Tony-winning actress Anika Noni Rose will team for a three-concert engagement at the Abrons Arts Center this spring, which will be taped by PBS for future broadcast.

The Tony-winning composer of Parade, 13, The Last Five Years and Songs for a New World, will follow his recent London and Birdland concerts with the downtown concert engagement, which will run April 28-30. He will be joined by the eight-piece Caucasian Rhythm Kings.

Rose, who earned a Tony Award for Caroline, or Change and was also seen as Lorell in the film of "Dreamgirls," will be Brown's special guest.

An air date for the concerts, which will feature material from Brown's earlier work, solo albums and upcoming musicals (Honeymoon In Vegas, The Bridges of Madison County, The Trumpet of the Swan), has not been announced.

The concerts will be presented at 8 PM. For tickets, priced $35, phone (212) 352-3101. The Abrons Arts Center is located at 466 Grand Street on the Lower East Side.
