The 8:30 PM concert will feature Brown performing songs from his musicals 13, The Last Five Years, Parade and Songs for a New World. Bean (Wicked, Hairspray) will join Brown to belt out his pop-infused work.
Brown earned a Tony Award for the score to Parade. He is also at work on the Broadway-aimed Honeymoon in Vegas and The Bridges of Madison County. He collaborated with Marsha Norman on The Trumpet of the Swan: A Novel Symphony for Actors and Orchestra, which premiered at the Kennedy Center in 2008.
