News Jason Robert Brown Performs at Dec. 31 Concert for Peace in NYC Composer Jason Robert Brown will join singer Judy Collins, soprano Lauren Flanigan and cellist Eugene Friesen Dec. 31 for St. John the Divine's annual New Year's Eve Concert for Peace.

Brown, who won a Tony Award for his score to Parade, will be back on Broadway in February with Urban Cowboy. The composer of The Last Five Years and Songs for a New World is musical director for that show, as well as the composer of three new songs in the score (Jeff Blumenkrantz contributed two - the musical already includes well-known numbers from the film "Urban Cowboy" including "Lookin' for Love" and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia"). Tickets are free for general admission to the Concert for Peace or $50 for VIP seating. St. John the Divine is located at 1047 Amsterdam Avenue.
