Tony Award-winning composer, lyricist, conductor, and director Jason Robert Brown returns to the New York City club SubCulture January 22 with special guest, actor-singer-songwriter Carrie Manolakos, who can be heard as one of the Virtual Community Voices in the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen.

The performance will incorporate “an eclectic mix of material, featuring music from throughout his acclaimed career, along with new works in development.”

Manolakos, who replaced in the role of Sophie during the original run of Mamma Mia! on Broadway and appeared in the national touring company of Wicked, performed in the workshop production of Alanis Morissette’s musical Jagged Little Pill, among other stage, recording, and concert credits.

His works also include Songs for a New World, The Last Five Years, 13, Urban Cowboy and Honeymoon in Vegas. He is a resident artist at SubCulture, and regularly stages concerts in collaboration with top Broadway talent.
