A jazz caravan scheduled to travel to several sites in Manhattan today has been postponed.

Jazz at Lincoln Center has postponed "Six Cats on a Cadillac" out of respect for Pope John Paul II.

The jazz caravan was to travel through New York today to mark Jazz Appreciation Month in April. Musicians on board were to perform and distribute beads, umbrellas, and a map showing jazz clubs around the city.

The caravan was scheduled to stop at five location from Wall Street to Harlem.

A new date has not yet been set.
