The annual honor recognizes "outstanding achievement in commercial theatre producing." Finn will be presented with the honor by Jack O'Brien and Sam Gold, who directed Theresa Rebeck's Dead Accounts and Seminar on Broadway, respectively. Finn produced both productions.

"Everyone at CTI is honored to present Jeffrey Finn with the 2013 Robert Whitehead Award. Over the years, he has shown that he is a knowledgeable producer who strives for greatness," said CTI program director Jed Bernstein in a statement.

Finn's producing credits also include Blithe Spirit, Oleanna, A View from the Bridge, On Golden Pond and the upcoming productions of I'll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers, starring Bette Midler, and a musical adaptation of The Honeymooners.

A joint project of The Broadway League and Theatre Development Fund, CTI — the nation's only formal training program for commercial theatre producers — was founded in 1981 by the late Frederic B. Vogel. The five-decade long career of the late Robert Whitehead inspired this award; previous recipients include Jon B. Platt, Jill Furman, Stuart Thompson, Dori Berinstein, Benjamin Mordecai, Dennis Grimaldi, Kevin McCollum, Randall L. Wreghitt, Marc Routh, Liz Oliver, Eric Krebs, Anne Strickland Squadron, David Binder and Nick Scandalios.
