News   Jeffrey Sweet's Bluff Comes to 78th Street Theatre Lab March 4
Jeffrey Sweet's Bluff, which premiered in fall 1999 at Chicago's Victory Gardens Theatre, will have its New York debut at 78th Street Theatre Lab in Manhattan on March. Sandy Shinner directs the production, which will open March 10.

Ean Sheehy, Bill Tatum, Sarah Yorra, Michelle Best, Luke MacCloskey and Kristine Niven are in the cast. In the play, according to production notes, ''Emily and Neal are doing fine as a new couple in New York, until her brash and vulgar stepfather Gene comes to town for a convention—ringing with him all the contradictions Emily has been trying to bury."

Jon Cryer starred in the Chicago run, which sold out.

Sweet's Flyovers was also a VG hit and continues to look for an Off- Broadway home this fall. Other Sweet plays include The Value of Names and American Enterprise, and he co-edited the "Best Plays" Theatre Yearbook for more than a decade.

Tickets are $15 and can be reserved by calling SmartTix at (212) 868-4444 or online at
