The musical Jekyll & Hyde opened April 28 at the Plymouth Theatre on Broadway -- ten years in the writing and two years after a U.S. national tour and recording brought the score to the attention of theatre lovers.

Robert Cuccioli (Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde) and Linda Eder (Lucy) reprise the roles they played during the popular 1995-96 tour. Based on Robert Louis Stevenson's gothic tale, the Frank Wildhorn/ Leslie Bricusse musical is the story of the well-meaning Dr. Jekyll who tries to separate the good from the evil in human nature, but winds up unleashing his own dark side in the person of Mr. Hyde.

In a happy sidenote, Frank Wildhorn and Linda Eder are more than just composer and lead; in fall 1997 they became husband and wife.
