Directed by Sam Buntrock, the production will officially open May 13. Performances will continue at the Princeton, NJ, venue through June 6.
The cast will be led by Jenn Colella (Amelia Earhart), Michael Cumpsty (George Putnam), Claybourne Elder (Charles Lindbergh), Stanton Nash (Wilbur Wright) and Benjamin Schrader (Orville Wright). The ensemble includes Carey Brown, Bobby Daye, Linda Gabler, Marya Grandy, Todd A. Horman, Price Waldman and William Youmans.
Take Flight, according to the McCarter, "blends fact and fiction to tell the interweaving stories of three pioneers of aeronautics: the Wright Brothers, Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart."
Designing the production are David Farley (set and costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), Ken Travis (sound design), Lisa Shriver (musical staging) and Kevin Stites (music director).
