LOS ANGELES -- Visions and Lovers: Variations on a Theme, two one-act plays revolving around the turbulence encountered by couples in love, will open Feb. 6, 1999 at the Skylight Theatre.

Written and directed by Milton Katselas, one of Los Angeles' leading directors and acting coaches, Visions and Lovers has a cast headlined by Jenna Elfman ("Dharma and Greg") and Miguel Ferrer ("Lateline"). Elfman and Ferrer are featured in one play with Suzzanne Douglas and Richard Lawson in the other.

"A dramatic portrait of the passions, upheavals and betrayals that seem to encompass all relationships, the plays present an intimate and extraordinarily honest look at the emotional fabric that can both bind and tear apart two people in love," said a company spokesperson.

Douglas presently stars opposite Robert Townsend in WB's sitcom "The Parent Hood." Lawson was seen this year in the film "How Stella Got Her Groove Back."

Katselas was nominated for a Tony Award for his direction of Butterflies Are Free. He won L.A. Drama Critics Circle Awards for his direction of Streamers, Romeo and Juliet and The Seagull. The Skylight is at 1816 1/2 N. Vermont in Los Feliz. Call (310) 659-4169.
