News Jenna Russell, Jonathan Slinger and Marc Elliott Set for West End Transfer of Urinetown - the Musical Tony nominee Jenna Russell, Jonathan Slinger and Marc Elliott will reprise their roles as Penelope Pennywise, Officer Lockstock and Mr. McQueen, respectively, in the West End transfer of Urinetown the Musical, originally seen at the St. James Theatre and resuming performances at the Apollo Theatre Sept. 29.

Also returning from the original cast are Chris Bennett (Swing), Katie Bernstein (Little Becky Two Shoes/Mrs. Millennium), Cory English (Old Man Strong/Hot Blades Harry), Madeleine Harland (Soupy Sue), Rosanna Hyland (Hope Cladwell), Karis Jack (Little Sally), Julie Jupp (Old Woman/Josephine Strong), Aaron Lee Lambert (Billy Boy Bill/ UGC Executive), Mark Meadows (Senator Fipp), Joel Montague (Swing) and Jeff Nicholson (Tiny Tom/ Dr. Billeaux).

Further casting is still to be announced shortly, including the roles of Caldwell B. Cladwell and Bobby Strong.

Urinetown the Musical, which features music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann and book and lyrics by Greg Kotis, is directed by Jamie Lloyd, with designs by Soutra Gilmour, choreography by Ann Yee, lighting design by Adam Silverman, sound design by Terry Jardine and Nick Lidster, casting by David Grindrod Associates, wig and hair design by Richard Mawbey, fight direction by Kate Waters, orchestrations by Bruce Coughlin and musical supervision and direction by Alan Williams. It is produced by Julian Stoneman Associates and The Araca Group.

According to press materials, the show tells the tale of a town fit to burst; spending a penny can prove problematic in a place where the privilege to pee has become a punishable offence. There is no such thing as rent free relief until our young hero, Bobby Strong, appears – with more than a good set of pipes – and starts a revolution.
