News Jennifer Westfeldt Will Pull Triple Duty for "Friends With Kids," Opposite Jon Hamm, Megan Fox Tony Award-nominated actress Jennifer Westfeldt, who sometimes writes the screenplays for films in which she stars, will serve as writer, director and co-star of the upcoming ensemble comedy "Friends With Kids."

Westfeldt's offscreen partner, Jon Hamm, will also appear, along with Kristin Wigg, Megan Fox and Adam Scott. The film is set for an April 2011 release.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Westfeldt (Wonderful Town, "Kissing Jessica Stein") and Scott ("Party Down") will play thirtysomething best friends who decide to have a child and then date other people when they see the effect having kids takes on the couples they know.

Hamm ("Mad Men") and Wiig ("Saturday Night Live") will play another couple, with Fox (The "Transformers" films) as a girl Scott starts dating. A third couple has yet to be cast.

"Friends With Kids" is the first film Westfeldt, who earned her Tony nod for Wonderful Town, will direct. She wrote and starred in "Kissing Jessica Stein" and "Ira & Abby."
