Karen Olivo and cast members of West Side Story
The Hollywood Bowl concert presentations of Arthur Laurents, Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim's West Side Story play the famed venue July 14 and 19. The evenings feature the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Gustavo Dudamel.

The cast includes Solea Pfeiffer as Maria, Jeremy Jordan as Tony, Karen Olivo as Anita, George Akram as Bernardo, Matthew James Thomas as Riff, Drew Foster as Action, Kyle Selig as Baby John, Anthony Chatmon II as A-rab, Jennifer Sanchez as Rosalia, Brit West as Francisca, Julia Bullock as A Girl, Jeff Smith as Diesel, Mike Schwitter as Big Deal, Erica Dorfler as Consuela, Jose Moreno Brooks as Chino and three-time Tony nominee Kevin Chamberlain (Dirty Blonde, Seussical, The Addams Family) as Schrank/Doc/Krupke. (Several of the actors appeared in the 2009 Broadway revival of the musical, including Olivo, who received a Tony for her performance.)



Karen Olivo Will Take On Tony-Winning Hamilton Role

The concerts also feature the Los Angeles Master Chorale under the artistic direction of Grant Gershon. David Saint is the book director.

Show time both evenings is 8 PM.

West Side Story has music by Bernstein, lyrics by Sondheim and a book by Laurents. The original production featured the choreography of Jerome Robbins, who conceived the project by using Romeo and Juliet as inspiration.
