News Jeremy Jordan, Jennifer Damiano, Justin Guarini, Caissie Levy Will Be Heard on Drew Gasparini's "I Could Use a Drink" CD Drew Gasparini, whose songs will be heard in the upcoming season of NBC's "Smash," will head into the recording studio for the first time to record 17 songs with a mix of Broadway favorites.

The recording will feature the talents of Jeremy Jordan, Jennifer Damiano, Justin Guarini, Caissie Levy, Alex Wyse (currently in rehearsals for Bare), Andy Mientus ("Smash"), Lindsay Mendez (Godspell), F. Michael Haynie (Wicked), Andrew Kober (Hair), Rachel Potter (Evita), Mykal Kilgore (The Book of Mormon), Nick Blaemire (Godspell), Alex Brightman (Wicked) and Australia’s Drew Weston (Mary Poppins).

The recording is described as "an eclectic mix of semi-autobiographical numbers (both poignant and hilarious) and progressive contemporary music theater." Charlie Rosen produces.

"This is the album I have wanted to record for years. Finally things have aligned and I couldn’t be happier with the team we have pulled together,” Gasparini said in a statement.

Funds for the recording are currently being raised through Kickstarter.

Gasparini was also recently named one of Playbill’s Contemporary Musical Theatre Songwriters You Should Know
