All the Things You Are: Jerome Kern, part of Merkin's Broadway Close Up Series, is officially sold out, but some tickets might become available on Monday, a spokesperson told Playbill.com. The performance stars Tony nominees Rebecca Luker and Kate Baldwin and Broadway's Heidi Blickenstaff, Matthew Scott, Graham Rowat and Colin Donnell.
The 8 PM concert will focus on some of Kern's earlier songs "in sparkling and inventive new arrangements by the great Broadway arranger David Loud," the music director and vocal arranger of Broadway's The Scottsboro Boys.
Songs by Kern (1885-1945) to be heard in the show include "A Fine Romance," "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," "All the Things You Are" and the Academy Award-winning "The Way You Look Tonight."
Merkin Concert Hall's Broadway Close Up series is now in its tenth season. It seeks to take "audiences behind the scenes of classic musicals old and new and gives them sneak peeks at some of the best new shows in production."
Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center is at 129 West 67th Street (between Broadway and Amsterdam) in Manhattan.
