News Jerome Records' Heart Sings for Genesius Guild Dec. 11 Our Heart Sings, the premiere recording from the new Jerome Records label, which features Broadway stars Kristen Chenoweth, Alice Ripley, Emily Skinner, Christiane Noll, Paige Price and Stephanie Pope, will raise money for Genesius Guild Dec. 11 with a special cabaret at Second Stage Theatre. Ripley, Price and Skinner will be on hand as will Tony winner Donna McKechnie, Mark Nadler, Phillip Officer and James Beeks (Smokey Joe's Cafe, Ragtime) for an evening of new and classic songs, hosted by Lainie Kazan.

Our Heart Sings features 11 original songs out the 19 on the disc. The new and known composers include Stephen Schwartz, Steven Lutvak, Michael Colby, Steven Silverstein, Paul Katz, Tim DiPasqua, Bruce MacRae, Ray Errol Fox, Marcy Heisler & Zina Goldrich, Kathy Budway, William Whitefield and Cynthia Mitchell, Jane R. Snyder and Jack Hollingsworth. Lending their voices are Chenoweth, Noll, Nadler, Spencer, Skinner and Ripley (in a duet), David Gurland, Price, Officer, Dana Meller, Georga Osborne, Pope, Alison Fraser, Kristopher McDowell, Donna Lynne Champlin, Beeks, Heather MacRae, Angela DeCicco, Bill Whitefield, James Alexander and Sandi Durell.

Most of these voices, excluding Chenoweth, will be heard at the cabaret. The performance begins at 8 PM with a cocktail reception with the artists to follow.

The Gensius Guild is a non-profit New York City based theatre company dedicated to the creation and development of new plays and musicals. They host both cabaret and staged reading programs - the latter will include the new musical Poescrypt (January) and Just Us Boys (February).
