The 2:30 PM ceremony will be attended by Orbach's widow, Elaine Cancilla-Orbach; Richard Belzer and other "Law & Order" cast members; and actors from the current Off-Broadway revival of The Fantasticks. A reception will follow at the Jerry Orbach Theater, located at 210 West 50th Street. Jerry Orbach was nominated for three Tony Awards and originated such legendary roles as El Gallo in The Fantasticks and Billy Flynn in Chicago. He had more recently become known for his role as the New York City detective Lennie Briscoe on the television series "Law & Order." He also voiced the character Lumiere in the animated film version of "Beauty and the Beast." The revered star died Dec. 28, 2004, at age 69.

On June 21 the Snapple Theater Center named one of its two theatres — the space that currently houses the The Fantasticks revival — the Jerry Orbach Theater.
