News Jersey Boys Moves a Mountain at Ahmanson Center Theatre Group’s Ahmanson Theatre has replaced the world premiere of the new Motown musical Ain’t No Mountain High Enough with a new run of the popular, nationwide hit Jersey Boys.

The Four Seasons musical will run from May to July 2007 as part of the show's U.S. tour. Ain’t No Mountain High Enough now will be presented at a later date. Jersey Boys began life at the La Jolla Playhouse, where it was a box-office-record-breaking, oft-extended smash. It went from there to Broadway, where it won the Tony Award for Best Musical.

About Mountain, CTG artistic director Michael Ritchie said, "I am enjoying working with Berry on this highly promising project, and being surrounded by all that glorious Motown music is a real treat. But for the present we need to concentrate on the rights issues, and since this can take some time, I think it best to postpone the presentation of the musical until a later date."

Casting for the Los Angeles production of Jersey Boys will be announced at a later date. The national tour will launch in San Francisco in December 2006.
