News Jersey Boys Star Will Join Cady Huffman and Kate Shindle Off-Broadway in New Musical Revolution Additional casting has been announced for Revolution in the Elbow of Ragnar Agnarsson Furniture Painter — a new musical with book, music and lyrics by Ívar Páll Jónsson, based on a story by Ívar and Gunnlaugur Jónsson — which will now begin previews July 31 at the Minetta Lane Theatre.

Directed by Bergur Ingólfsson, with choreography by Lee Proud and music direction by Stefán Örn Gunnlaugsson, the production will officially open Off-Broadway Aug. 13.

As previously reported, the cast will be headed by Tony winner Cady Huffman and Kate Shindle with Michael Biren, Patrick Boll, Zach Cossman, Karli DiNardo, Danielle Kelsey, Graydon Long, Brad Nacht, Marrick Smith and Jesse Wildman.

Newly announced for the production is Rick Faugno, who originated the role of Frankie Valli in the Las Vegas production of Jersey Boys, and has appeared on Broadway in The Will Rogers Follies (as Will Rogers, Jr.), Wonderful Town, Conversations With My Father and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

"Have you ever wondered what’s going on inside your elbow?" press notes asked. Revolution "answers this hypothetical, surreal question in an emotionally charged rock musical love story. Set in Elbowville (a microscopic community within Ragnar Agnarsson’s body), the highly unconventional story introduces us to a love triangle developing against the backdrop of the once-idyllic community's false prosperity at the hands of a power-mad mayor and its ultimate ruin, tragedy and rebirth."

The production will also have set and projection design by Petr Hloušek, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and Cory Pattak, sound design by Carl Casella and costume design by Hrafnhildur Arnardottir (aka Shoplifter) and Edda Gudmundsdottir. Creator Ívar Páll Jónsson is an Icelandic songwriter whose collaborations with other Icelandic artists culminated in the concept album for Revolution in the Elbow of Ragnar Agnarsson Furniture Painter and this world-premiere production.

Director Bergur Þór Ingólfsson directed the Disney/Cameron Mackintosh production of Mary Poppins at the Reykjavík City Theater.

Revolution is being produced Off-Broadway by Karl Pétur Jónsson/Revolution Productions and Theater Mogul.

The playing schedule will be Mondays at 7 PM, Tuesday through Friday evenings at 8 PM and Saturdays at 4 and 8 PM.

Tickets are $49.50-$69.50 and are available by calling Ticketmaster (800) 745-3000 or through www.RevolutionElbow.com. Visit www.facebook.com/elbowville.
