Dubbed "The First Family of Cool," their repertoire at Feinstein’s will include songs from the family’s new recordings. John and his trio released a Telarc two-CD set, “Live at Birdland,” which celebrates ten years of making music. And, Jessica Molaskey’s new recording, “A Good Day,” inspired by the vocal stylings of Peggy Lee, will be released by PS Classics May 20. The Feinstein's engagement will also boast the musicianship of The John Pizzarelli Trio, which also includes Ray Kennedy on piano and Martin Pizzarelli on bass. John Pizzarelli is an internationally renowned vocalist and jazz guitarist, who is the son of guitar legend Bucky Pizzarelli, who performed White House concerts with Benny Goodman and Frank Sinatra. Jessica Molaskey has performed on and Off-Broadway and in several national tours. Her theatrical credits include A Man of No Importance, Dream, Tommy, Falsettos, City of Angels, Crazy for You, Les Misérables, Cats, Chess, Dream True, Songs for a New World and Time & Again.
Feinstein's at the Regency is located at 540 Park Avenue at 61st Street. The Pizzarellis will play Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8:30 PM with late shows on Friday and Saturday at 11 PM. All shows have a $60 cover and a $30 minimum. Call (212) 339-4095 for reservations.
