Stephen Adly Guirgis's Jesus Hopped the A Train, which was featured in last year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival and premiered in London as part of the Donmar's American Imports Season, moves to the Arts Theatre April 23.
Philip Seymour Hoffman's involvement in the play, as director, was a major draw for the Donmar — which was the ideal size for this sort of play — and is likely to attract a young audience to the Arts.
The perennial risk with transfers is that they run out of steam once they move on from their original theatre, but hopefully Jesus Hopped the A Train will stay on track.
